Reading costs you nothing

Every article here is readable without an account, a login, a profile, or a box to tick. There is nothing you have to hand over to get to the end of a page.

The letter, and what the form actually does

There is a subscribe box near the foot of the front page. It is worth being precise about it, because it is not a marketing platform. It is a plain mailto: form: pressing subscribe opens your own mail program with a message addressed to hello@naturallywelltoday.org, and you send it yourself. Nothing is submitted to this website, and no script here captures what you typed into the box.

What reaches me is therefore an ordinary email, in an ordinary inbox, from whatever address you chose to send it from. I copy those addresses into a simple list kept for that purpose, use them for one short letter when there is something worth making, and use them for nothing else. The list is not held on a mailing platform, is never sold, rented, swapped or handed to a third party, carries no tracking pixel, and no profile is built from it.

To come off the list: reply to any letter with the word stop, or write to hello@naturallywelltoday.org. I remove the address that week and delete it from the list rather than flagging it as unsubscribed.

What gets measured

Anonymized traffic figures may be collected: which pages get opened, roughly which country a visit came from, browser and device type, and which page linked here. I look at it to decide what to write more of. It is not attached to a name and I make no attempt to identify individual readers.

Email you send me

If you write in, your message and your address stay in my mailbox while I reply, and afterwards as a record of anything I had to correct because of it. They go nowhere else. I do not ask for health information and would rather you did not send any, because this is an ordinary mailbox and not a clinical one.

Cookies

A small number of cookies are set for basic function and anonymous measurement. Blocking them or clearing them breaks nothing on this site.

Links out

Some outbound links are affiliate links, described in the affiliate disclosure. Once a link takes you to a retailer or an affiliate network, that company’s privacy practices apply and I have no control over them. Photographs on this site are served from this site rather than embedded from somewhere else.

Children

This is written for adults and is not directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect anything from them.

Your rights

I do not sell personal information and there is very little of it here to sell. If you are in California, the EU, the UK, or anywhere with comparable rules, and you want to know what is held about you or want it deleted, write to hello@naturallywelltoday.org. It reaches me, not a department.
