Terms of Use

Using Naturally Well Today means agreeing to what follows. It is written to be read rather than to be impressive.
Not health advice
This is the important paragraph, so it goes first. Nothing on this site is medical advice, and nothing here diagnoses, treats, cures or prevents any condition. It is one person’s account of making ordinary things at home. It is not a substitute for a doctor, a pharmacist, a midwife or a dietitian, and it should not be used to delay asking one. If a symptom is new, persistent, severe or getting worse, that is a matter for a clinician.
Do not start, stop or change a prescribed medicine on the strength of anything read here.
Plants, dose and interactions
A plant is not automatically gentle, and the amount is usually what makes the difference. Several plants interact meaningfully with prescribed medicines, several have a lookalike that is not safe, and several that are fine for most adults are not advised in pregnancy, while breastfeeding, or for young children. If you take any prescribed medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are choosing something for a child, ask a pharmacist before using any plant described here. Never eat or drink a foraged plant you have not identified with certainty from a proper key rather than from a photograph.
Skin, and testing first
Anything applied to skin should be patch tested on a small area first and left for a day or two. Stop at once if there is stinging, redness or a rash. Nothing described here goes on broken skin, near eyes, or on an existing skin condition without a clinician saying it is sensible.
Kitchen and cleaning safety
Read the label of anything you are working with, work with a window open, and never mix cleaning products, in particular anything containing bleach with anything containing acid. Melting waxes and oils get hot enough to burn. Home preserving has real spoilage risks; follow a tested method rather than improvising, and if a jar smells wrong, throw it away.
Reading and sharing
Read it, print it, send it to somebody, quote a paragraph with a link back. Do not republish whole articles elsewhere, pass them off as your own, or feed the archive into a product as though you had written it.
Ownership
The writing belongs to Thea Lindqvist and to Naturally Well Today. Photographs are licensed from stock libraries. Brand and product names appear only to describe things and belong to their owners.
No warranty
This is one person’s experience in one small kitchen. Ingredients vary, equipment varies, and what worked here may not work for you. So far as the law allows, Naturally Well Today is not liable for loss, damage, illness or injury arising from acting on something read here.
